Adam C. Raffo Esq.

Adam is a trial lawyer with over twelve years of experience handling personal injury matters at Weitz & Luxenberg PC, a prominent personal injury and mass tort law firm in Manhattan. Prior to becoming a trial lawyer Adam served as an Assistant District Attorney in Nassau County, New York, where he prosecuted criminal matters and took his first trial verdict within six weeks of joining the office.

At Weitz & Luxenberg, Adam works closely with a team of seasoned lawyers and support staff handling serious and complex negligence cases stemming from construction accidents, dangerous premises, motor vehicle accidents, and rideshare and gig-economy delivery accidents.  During his career, Adam has been involved in the recovery of over one hundred million dollars for his clients including numerous individual recoveries in excess of one million dollars.

Adam prides himself as much on his investigative skills as his trial lawyering.  Those two skills intersected most illustratively when he took a verdict in Kings County against the driver of a hit and run vehicle.  Building the case from the ground up, Adam and his colleagues presented a cohesive and aggressive trial strategy employing techniques often seen in the criminal arena. Calling the alleged driver to the stand as a hostile witness, Adam painstakingly dismantled his alibi. At one point, the driver sheepishly admitted to the jury that Adam had caught him in a lie. The twenty three million dollar verdict was reported as the third highest in New York State for the year and was profiled on the front page of the New York Law Journal.

Adam has been recognized on multiple occasions as a “Rising Star” in the field of Personal Injury by New York Metro Super Lawyers, an honor received by less then 2.5% of the top up-and-coming attorneys in New York State. Similarly, the National Trial Lawyers Association selected Adam for membership in its “Top 40 under 40” based on his performance and reputation within the industry. In 2023, his first year of eligibility, Adam was formally named a Super Lawyer in Plaintiffs' Personal Injury Law for the New York Metropolitan Region and a member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Attorneys.

A life long native of Long Island, Adam lives in Nassau County with his wife and their boy/girl twins.
